Terms of use

Edilens is a video editing assistant: an artificial intelligence analyzes your videos and suggests cuts, subtitles and clips, which you approve. Videos are processed on your computer; only the audio and text go to the AI (see the privacy policy).

Edilens is in its launch phase: features may change, be added or be removed.

You must be 15 or older and provide a valid email address. Your account is personal: do not share your password.

You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else is using it, let us know at edilens.official@gmail.com.

Each analysis uses credits, depending on the length of the video.

For the launch, the first 100 accounts get 45 minutes of free analysis. Credits have no cash value: they cannot be refunded, exchanged or transferred to another account.

Plans and packs are sold by Valtore; payments are processed by Stripe. The price to pay, including any applicable tax, is shown on the checkout page before you confirm, and the invoice is sent by email.

Access to credits and plans is immediate. By paying, you expressly request this immediate access and waive the 14-day withdrawal period (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).

No commitment: cancel anytime from “Manage my subscription” in the app; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. Moving up a plan charges the prorated difference; moving down deducts what you overpaid from the next invoice.

Every paid month (yearly plans included) brings the plan’s credits. Unused credits roll over, up to two months of the plan’s credits. Pack credits never expire.

The editing assistant (the chat) is included in every plan at no extra cost, up to a monthly allowance that depends on the plan; it comes back in full on the 1st of each month. Without a plan, it is included as long as you have analysis time left. It is never billed on top.

To keep the service available to everyone, usage is limited each day; the app tells you if you reach a limit.

You keep all rights to your videos and to what you create with Edilens.

You must have the right to use them: you filmed them, or you have the consent of the rights holders and of the people filmed.

We do not use your videos, transcripts or edits for anything other than providing the service to you.

Suggestions (cuts, subtitles, clips) are generated automatically and may contain errors. You check them before publishing: that is why every decision is yours.

Always keep a copy of your original files.

• Using Edilens for illegal content: hate, harassment, violations of privacy or image rights, infringement, content involving minors…
• Circumventing credits, limits or protections of the service, or using it in an automated way.
• Copying, decompiling or modifying the app to use it outside the service, or reselling access to the service.
• Attacking, overloading or testing the security of the servers without permission. A flaw found in good faith should be reported to our contact address.

You can delete your account at any time by writing to edilens.official@gmail.com.

If these terms are breached, we may suspend or close an account after warning you, except in urgent cases (fraud, attack, illegal content).

We do our best to keep the service running, but cannot guarantee it will be available without interruption (maintenance, provider outage).

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, nor for the loss of files that were not backed up. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.

The app, the website, the brand and the logo belong to the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app for as long as your account exists.

We may change these terms. Before a significant change applies, you are notified by email or in the app; if you refuse it, you can delete your account.

These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write to us first at edilens.official@gmail.com: we will look for an amicable solution. Otherwise, the courts with jurisdiction are those provided by law; if you are a consumer, you can bring the matter before the court of your place of residence.
